Under the direction of Shoko Kitagawa and since its inception in 1999, it has been actively promoting works of contemporary art. ASHIYA GARO presents contemporary artists, both in Japan and from abroad, whose identity and originality mark our epoch. They are mature artists with clear vision who know how to assume the responsibility of their creative act. To be noted is its particular expertise in Swiss art since the first exposition of Luc JOLY in 2002, Jean-PierreGRELAT in 2004,Jean-Michel DEGOUMOIS in 2005 and the upcoming exhibition of Renee Furrer in 2006.
